Go Explore NZ
Go Explore NZ is a tour guiding business based in Taupo, New Zealand. I began working with the founder, Logan, from the first concepts of the business. Logan offers high-end scenic day trips around the area with a local, down-to-earth feel, so we embarked on brand workshops to discover how best to tell this message and what it looked and felt like. We ended up with a vibrant and fresh logo, a booking website, marketing strategy plan, several design projects, and social media management.
1. BRANDING
Logan is an enthusiastic and young tour guide with a real passion for New Zealand. We completed several brand workshops to understand what Go Explore NZ meant to Logan and what he wanted it to mean to his customers. We settled on the tagline, ‘Our backyard, your adventure.’
We chose to stay away from the typical green colour palette that pops up in many New Zealand tourism businesses, and instead opted for a fresh and bright blue palette. The colours on the van look incredible in person!
The logo design is simple but effective and emphasise the scenic elements of the touts.
2. GRAPHIC DESIGN WORK
Go Explore NZ is owned and operated by Logan Devine - an enthusiastic and young tour guide with a real passion for tourism. We completed several brand workshops to understand what Go Explore NZ meant to Logan and what he wanted it to mean to his customers. At the end, we came to the conclusion that his tours are fun, friendly, and down-to-earth, so his branding needed to reflect this.
3. WEBSITE CREATION
Logan needed a website that showcased the incredible scenery that people experience on his tours.
Other key elements that were a must were an easy to navigate booking platform, the USP’s for each of his tours, and a clear way to request custom tours.
4. SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT
Part of Go Explore NZ’s launch plan was a social media strategy. Together with Logan was established the key messaging and types of images we wanted to show his ever-growing audience.
Tourism in New Zealand is extremely competitive so it was my challenge to create cut-through content that was engaging but also relevant to the right audience.
